Job Description

Globalstar is hiring a Corporate Communications Manager to join our team in Covington, La.

Globalstar seeks a Corporate Communications Manager to begin immediately.  This person will have a minimum Undergraduate or Graduate Marketing / Communications Degree or related field. Eight to ten years’ work experience in the Marketing, Communications or Public Relations field as well as experience working with high-level executives; management experience preferred. As a vital member of the Corporate and US Marketing team, this position works closely with Director of Marketing, other Corporate, Investor and Media Relations personnel to develop and execute strategies which help to maintain a positive perception in the marketplace, improve customer experience and support Globalstar and SPOT sales efforts.  

What you will do:

  • Develop, Implement and Oversee Communications Strategy and Plan for Globalstar and SPOT brands
    • Generate Earned Media
      • Identify key media outlets and distribute news via press releases and pitching for product placements
      • Compile all earned media weekly and share on various channels
    • Monitor and report on news coverage
      • Work with Human Resources and other key executives to increase employee awareness
      • Manage internal communications plan and collaborate interdepartmentally for execution
    • Leverage key tradeshows to meet with target media, potential partners and brand ambassadors
    • Find opportunities to stretch and augment paid efforts that align in other channels to increase reach of messaging, build brand awareness and engagement
    • Manage Brand Ambassador and Sponsorship Program
      • Evaluate sponsorship and ambassador opportunities using key criteria
      • Leverage key influencer network to promote effective grassroots marketing efforts in primary verticals
      • Work with the Marketing team to create a content strategy and plan to enhance SPOT brand recognition and lifestyle following generated by these relationships
      • Monitor ROI on these programs
    • Oversee and continuously optimize Globalstar and SPOT social media strategies
      • Review, edit and create content in conjunction with marketing initiatives
      • Collaborate with Customer Relations team to improve customer experience
    • Monitor and develop responses to product reviews from various outlets
    • Create standards in issue response and resolution through interdepartmental collaboration
  • Manage Corporate Communications and Investor Relations materials on Globalstar.com
    • Assist in distributing corporate news via press releases, web and social handles
    • Field incoming media inquiries and develop responses
  • Assess the customer journey and determine transactional survey areas to build satisfaction and loyalty programs
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Relations to determine opportunities for customer surveys and a plan to review and disseminate feedback for future improvements
    • Strategically engage with product users and assist in development of a consumer panel for research and development opportunities.

Job Requirements

 What you need:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Marketing / Communications Degree or related field.
  • Eight to ten years’ work experience in the Marketing, Communications or Public Relations field as well as experience working with high-level executives; management experience preferred.
  • A proactive, self-starter: you will help shape how we tell our brand story to the world, how successful we are at securing potential media placement, requiring the ability to develop relationships, set a strategy, execute and show success.
  • A team player: a well-organized, multi-tasker with management experience who enjoys working with others to proactively get things done.
  • Understanding of current PR strategies, technologies and trends.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills – submit writing samples with application that best showcases your abilities and skill set.
  • Creative, exceptionally driven, and passionate about showing results.
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-oriented, and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment that requires professionalism and high ethical standards.
